Last Wednesday we had the pleasure of listening to a truly inspirational speaker. Trish Jackson is a survivor of the Thalidamide drug disaster of the 1950's and 60's.
She spends her time fighting for better support for Thalidimide survivors and visiting schools from Northern NSW to North Queensland to speak to school students about what they can achieve no matter what the setbacks.
During her talk to us she told of her life with a very profound disability and how she is determined to not let that stop her doing what she wants to do. The photos show some of her paintings (done with her feet) and President Gerald with Trish and an orchid presented to her by the club after her address.
Take a look at Trish's facebook page (@footsie photos) to see  what she's been up to.
